No I am not talking about Valium which is what "mommy's little helpers" used to mean, I am talking about tips on how to make a mommy feel..well..less mommyish about herself. Sure I love being a mom but I don't always like looking like a stereotypical tired mommy...even if I am! But I don't always have time to put on makeup and do my hair. Truth is I get to shower maybe every other day and sometimes on a rough week, every 3 days! No worries, I know there are others out there and I will keep your secret. I also don't always get to brush my teeth everyday. Sometimes I look at that couch when I am exhausted at night and I think...teeth...you can wait!
The next few weeks I will be posting some pictures, some ideas and even... if I can get my new makeup/filming room finished my first YouTube video! Hell yes I am terrified of looking like a dork, but if it will help you feel less like one even a little, all is worth it. I'd like to show you some tips that will make you feel better about yourself or less ashamed when you run into your child's hot math teacher at the grocery store for that gallon of milk you just ran out of.
Here is my listyness making a list of whats to come.
1. A mommy emergency go bag.
2. Taking your mommy ponytail/bun to runway mommy ponytail/bun
3. Making your hair go an extra day between washing.
4. A 2 minute mommy makeover for a trip to the grocery store
5. A 5 minute mommy makeover for a trip to the zoo
6. A 10 minute mommy makeover for a date night!!!!!
There might be more but that's what you are getting tonight at the "mommy me time" hour of 11pm on a Sunday night. I will be eating my bedtime toast, going to bed where I will dream of all the ways I will help you feel good about yourself as much as that Margarita you drank while hiding in the bathroom from your family made you feel!
Good night friends!
what's this for?
I find so many things I love out on The Internet and I want a place to share it. Trends, tips, and hopefully some fun stuff too!
