Ok, that might be the very extreme case but hair can actually be very dangerous. Something most people don't know is that hair, especially cut hair can become slivers embedding themselves into your skin. Your body can have a harsher reaction to hair slivers than something like a wood sliver.
Hair carries germs and bacteria just like most anything else especially because it came from another human, which we know are a hotbed of germs. Of course any time a foreign object is buried or pierced into your skin your body's natural reaction is to work to get it out. So you now have a bacteria covered foreign object in your skin and that skin is mad!
Now you are thinking well when it hurts I'll just pull it out like any other sensible person. Sometimes hair is such a light color you can't see it and on places that are tough like your feet you might not feel it until it works in farther to your foot. At this stage it starts to create a pocket almost around it that can then make walking painful. This whole time you might be contemplating a trip to the Dr because you suddenly have this hard mass in your foot that is hitting other nerves causing pain elsewhere. Don't check webMD though because they'll tell you it's cancer. :)
The possible death exaggeration comes into the extreme case where your body overreacts thus causing an infection which if not watched or unsure where it's coming from can cause sepsis. Sepsis can lead to death. Yes I used this as a way to catch your attention but here is the real reason I'm telling you this...
When you go into a salon do not come in barefoot and please don't let your kids walk around barefoot or crawl on the floor. No matter how much we sweep up hair it still gets everywhere and you can't get it all. Babies especially can't tell you what hurts and digging hair out of adult skin hurts bad enough but imagine having to do it for your baby. Plus hair sticks to wet and sticky which as we all know babies are usually that. Then they put their hands in their mouth and now your baby has Tom and Janes and maybe Bucks hair in their mouth. Yea, gross.
One more thing, check your babies fingers and toes regularly because longer hair can sometimes get wrapped around toes and baby fingers causing the blood flow to be cut off. Once again the hair is so thin and light you might not notice. I've had it happen to my kids!
Who knew hair could be so dangerous!?!?
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend and thanks for stopping to read all my run on sentences!

I find so many things I love out on The Internet and I want a place to share it. Trends, tips, and hopefully some fun stuff too!
